The development forecast of future dry-type transformers

With the widespread application of dry-type transformers, the production and processing technology of these transformers has also achieved steady development. In the future, dry-type transformers will further evolve in the following aspects:
(1) Energy conservation and low noise: With the introduction of new low-consumption ferrite cores, foil winding structure, stepped iron core joints, ecological protection regulations, in-depth noise research, and the application of new materials, new technologies and new processes, as well as the reliability design of electronic computers, the dry-type transformers in the future will be more environmentally friendly, energy-saving and quieter.
(2) High reliability: Enhancing product quality and reliability will be the persistent pursuit of perfection by everyone. Many basic researches are carried out at levels such as magnetic field measurement, the entire process of waves, pouring processing technology, network hot spot heating, partial discharge principle, quality guarantee period management system and reliability engineering projects. Actively carry out reliability verification to further improve the reliability and service life of dry-type transformers. (3) Environmental protection characteristic verification: Based on the European standard HD464 as the basis, conduct scientific research and verification on the climate resistance (CO, C1, C2), natural environment resistance (EO, E1, E2), and fire resistance (FO, F1, F2) characteristics of dry-type transformers. 1
(4) Large capacity: From dry-type transformer manufacturers that mainly produce 50 – 2500 kVA distribution equipment transformers, to expanding into 10000 – 20005 kVA / 35 kV power engineering transformers. With the continuous increase in urban electricity consumption, substations in urban areas are increasingly serving as power sources for urban centers, residential communities, large and medium-sized industrial enterprises, etc. The 35 kV large-capacity power engineering transformers for residential area center power supply systems will be widely used. (5) Multi-purpose configuration: It is evolving towards a multi-purpose integrated transformer that includes features such as air-cooling, maintenance housing, temperature electronic computer interface, zero-sequence transformer, output power measurement and verification, enclosed busbar, and side group outgoing lines.
(6) Trends across multiple industries: From being dominated by distribution equipment transformers, it has evolved towards power plant utility transformers, excitation regulator transformers, traction and rectifier transformers for subway stations, large current heating furnace transformers, transformers for nuclear power plants, ships, and oilfield service platforms, as well as towards multi-functional industry trends.
