How to choose the appropriate AC voltage regulator

Parameter-adjustable voltage stabilizer, suitable for departments that have requirements for reliability and anti-interference performance.
● Advantages: High reliability; Resistance to high-energy interference; No output overvoltage phenomenon; Wide input voltage range; Good overload performance (high overload capacity of ferromagnetic components); Can be made into high-power power supply equipment.
● Disadvantages: Heavy; Consumes a lot of steel and iron materials, thus having a high price; Poor consistency in batch production (affected by iron core materials and processing techniques); Low source power factor, low efficiency; Poor load adaptability (affected by load properties, resulting in unstable voltage regulation); Poor frequency response (the ferromagnetic resonance is very sensitive to changes in the source frequency); Large output voltage distortion, phase shift between output voltage and input voltage (due to non-linearity of the iron core); High temperature rise, high noise (due to iron core saturation and large leakage inductance). Automatic voltage regulator, suitable for departments that do not require response time.
● Advantages: Wide input voltage range (taking advantage of the long stroke of the brush movement); Output voltage waveform is the same as the input voltage waveform, and the phase is also consistent; High overall efficiency (self-adjusting voltage regulator has low loss, with a general efficiency of over 95%); Good adaptability to load properties; Easy to manufacture, low cost, and inexpensive; Can be made into high-power compensation-type power supply. Purifying voltage regulator, suitable for units with high requirements for anti-interference function.
● Disadvantages: Shorter working life (due to brush wear); Longer response time (due to mechanical transmission, slow action).
● Advantages: Good anti-interference performance; High voltage regulation accuracy (better than ±1); Short response time, that is, fast response speed (40-60ms); Simple circuit, reliable operation.
● Disadvantages: Sometimes there are low-frequency oscillation phenomena with non-linear loads (such as computers); Large input-side signal distortion, low source power factor; Output capacitance, phase shift with respect to the input voltage (due to non-linearity of the iron core). Compensatory voltage regulator, suitable for manufacturing power regulators with low requirements for the nature of the load.
●Advantages: Fast response speed (using power transistors as switching devices); Can be made into high-power models; Low output voltage distortion (no additional distortion inside the machine); High efficiency.
●Disadvantages: Power semiconductor devices inside the machine may malfunction, affecting the reliability of the power supply equipment.
